Abilities Restored Ministries

Restoring Hope Through Faith, Prayer, Encouragement, and Community

Abilities Restored Ministries was founded on the belief that no challenge is greater than God’s ability to restore, heal, and renew. Our ministry exists to provide faith-based encouragement, prayer support, compassionate listening, biblical mentoring, and a welcoming community for individuals navigating life’s challenges, disabilities, grief, emotional struggles, and spiritual hardships.

At Abilities Restored Ministries, we believe that every person has value, purpose, and a unique story. Through the love of Christ, we strive to help individuals discover hope, inner healing, spiritual growth, and restoration regardless of their circumstances.

Our vision is to create a supportive and Christ-centered community where people can find strength, encouragement, and renewed purpose through faith in Jesus Christ.

Meet Our Founder

Malaika Boyer-Seme, LPCA

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
Biblical and Pastoral Counselor

Malaika Boyer-Seme has dedicated more than sixteen years to serving others in the human services field. Her passion is helping individuals achieve physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness through compassionate care, encouragement, and faith.

Malaika provides evidence-based support through Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Talk Therapy within her professional counseling practice. She also offers Biblical and Pastoral Counseling for individuals seeking faith-centered guidance and spiritual restoration.
She commonly supports individuals experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, adjustment challenges, self-esteem concerns, and body image issues.

Sessions are available in English, French, and Caribbean dialects, allowing her to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Her personal testimony is what inspired the creation of Abilities Restored Ministries.
At the age of sixteen, Malaika lost both of her legs. What followed was a journey marked by illness, surgeries, uncertainty, and immense challenges. Yet through every season of pain and adversity, her faith in God remained steadfast. Her story became a powerful testimony of God’s grace, healing, protection, and faithfulness.

Today, Malaika shares that testimony to encourage others facing difficult circumstances. Her life demonstrates that God can transform pain into purpose, fear into hope, and suffering into strength.

As reflected in her memoir, Malaika’s Faith: A Powerful Memoir on Holding Onto Faith in the Midst of Pain, Fear and Loss, she invites readers and those she serves to trust God wholeheartedly, stand on His promises, and believe that He can do “exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.”

Reviews

A small cluster of simple, rustic church buildings is seen from a distance, their white wooden exteriors and modest steeple nestled in rolling, sunlit green hills. A narrow, well-trodden dirt path gently curves from the foreground toward the church, bordered by wildflowers in soft blues and yellows. Late-afternoon golden hour light bathes the scene, casting long, warm shadows and illuminating the clouds with a subtle glow. The camera is positioned at a low angle, looking up the path toward the church, creating a sense of journey and invitation. Photographic realism with natural, vibrant yet gentle colors conveys a mood of hope, welcome, and community in faith, suitable for a ministry focused on restoring lives and hearts.

Aya Nakamura

“Through their weekly prayer calls, God lifted my anxiety and restored my joy in Him.”

A finely crafted wooden cross, carved from smooth, warm-toned oak with visible grain and subtle imperfections, stands upright on a simple linen-draped table. Around its base rest an open, well-worn leather Bible and a small, unlit ivory candle in a clear glass holder. Soft morning light streams in from an unseen side window, creating gentle highlights on the cross’s edges and casting a calm shadow across the fabric. The background is softly blurred, suggesting a quiet chapel interior with neutral walls. Photographic realism with a clean, modern, professional aesthetic, captured at eye level with a shallow depth of field to emphasize a serene, hope-filled atmosphere of prayer and reflection.

“After sharing my struggles, the ministry team prayed, and doors opened for healing and community.”
